You may know Miyake-style drumming from Kodo performances, but this form finds its origin in the traditional "Miyakejima Kamitsuki Mikoshi Taiko" style of the Kamitsuki Region of Miyake Island. Drumming from a low stance, breathing in time with the base drummer, you'll feel the spirit of Miyake Island's unique drumming style with your entire body.
