Class on Life: Protecting the Children

Since 1945, the westernization of the Japanese diet and other major changes in daily life have resulted in an age in which even children are affected by lifestyle-related diseases. Dr. Sadao Mayumi has spent his life passing on wisdom of ancient times that has been buried in modern society. Through the documentary film “Rise, the Power of Life – Pediatrician Sadao Mayumi”, which tracks his career and lifework, this class aims to create avenues for the children of Sado to forge healthy lives on the island.

※All profits from this event will be donated to the volunteer organization Make-A-Wish of Japan dedicated to granting wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions.
