Traditional Performing Art of Sado “Katanoo Kabuki”
The village of Katanoo lies to the southeastern region of Sado. Its distinct village kabuki, Katanoo Kabuki, has been passed down through generations of villagers since the Meiji era.
Although its legacy was once interrupted by the war, it was revived in 1978 with performances every other year. Come enjoy the hand-crafted performance put on by the village residents!
