Public transportation services on Sado island are local buses, taxis and tour buses. If you’d like to travel without worrying about timetables, driving your own car or rental car is the most convenient way to get around. For further information please check the Sado Tourism Association website.

Island Buses

Traveling to the EC venues in Ogi via local island buses takes approximately 1 hour 50 mins. from Ryotsu Port and 30 mins. from Akadomari Port. (It takes 5 mins. on foot from Ogi Port.) Buses leave from the EC Information Centre in Ogi for all parts of the island. However, island buses are infrequent so be sure to check the bus schedule before you make plans. EC Special Bus Timetable (8/22-24）

• Liner Bus both for Aikawa and Ryotsu requires reservations / Fare: Adults 1,000 yen, Children 500 yen.
• For other special bus, you will be asked to pay standard local bus fare.
• There will be a special bus running from Ogi departing at 17:00 to Sobama arriving at 17:15 on August 21st.
• There will be a special bus running from Sobama departing at 8:30 to Sobama arriving at 8:45 on August 21st.
