Island Buses
Traveling to the EC venues in Ogi via local island buses takes approximately 1 hour 50 mins. from Ryotsu Port and 30 mins. from Akadomari Port. (It takes 5 mins. on foot from Ogi Port.) Buses leave from the EC Information Centre in Ogi for all parts of the island. However, island buses are infrequent so be sure to check the bus schedule before you make plans. EC Special Buses
EC Liner Bus from Ryotsu
A special direct EC Liner Bus from Ryotsu to the Earth Celebration venue will depart after the Jet Foil arriving at 9:00, 12:05 & 15:05 and Car Ferry arriving at 8:30,11:55 & 15:05. Reservations required.

Special Bus Service Leaving from Akadomari
If you take the High-Speed Passenger Boat “Aibisu” to Akadomari arriving at 10:20 during EC, there is a special bus service that will bring you to Ogi.

Special Bus Service from Ogi to Sobama
Exclusively on Aug. 22, there will be a special bus that will take people from Ogi to Sobama Campground who want to camp there from the day before EC. *A special shuttle-bus service to the beach is offered during the festival. (See below)

Special Bus Service from Sobama to Ogi
Exclusively on Aug. 26, there will be a special bus that will bring people from Sobama Campground to Ogi who want to leave from Ogi Port the day after EC.

Special Buses after the Shiroyama Concerts
Buses will depart from the EC Info Centre (Marine Plaza Ogi) 30 minutes after the Shiroyama Concerts end each evening. Bus fares vary according to distance.
- For Sobama Beach / Fare: Standard local bus fare
- For Shukunegi, Sawasaki via Kowashimizu / Fare: Standard local bus fare
- For Akadomari and Mushiroba via Hamochi / Fare: Standard local bus fare
- For Ryotsu via Mano (on the Minami-sen Line) *EC Liner Bus / reservations required / Fare: Adults 1,000 yen, Children 500 yen
Marine Plaza → Shinmachi Gakko-mae (Mano) → Hatano → Niibo → Ryotsu Area stops - For Sawada and Aikawa via Mano *EC Liner Bus / reservations required / Fare: Adults 1,000 yen, Children 500 yen

Last Buses

There will be special last EC Liner Bus services out of Ogi to Mano, Sawata, Aikawa, and Ryotsu after all events finish daily. (Reservations required)

For those of you who want to hang out in Ogi until the last EC events have come to a close, there will be a special last bus service leaving for Sobama Beach each night.

On Aug 23 (Fri) & 24 (Sat), there will be special last-bus services out of Ogi to Sawasaki and Mushiroba.

Cars, Rental Cars, Tourist Taxis and Tour Buses
Driving is a great way to see the island without worrying about a timetable. To rent a car, it is best to make a reservation well in advance. Sightseeing taxis and tour buses are convenient too. Please check the Sado Tourism Association website for details.
