New Hokuriku Shinkansen Line Opens for Service!

A new bullet train (shinkansen) line between Tokyo and Kanazawa / Toyama opened for service. From Joetsu-Myoko station, it is just a 20-minute drive to Naoetsu Port, where ferries depart for Ogi Port on Sado Island. On April 21, new fast car ferry “Akane” will replace the current ferry, shaving one hour off the usual travel time to Ogi Port. Please take advantage of this convenient new travel route when you come to Ogi for Earth Celebration.
