Island Transportation

Driving is a great way to see the island without worrying about a timetable. To rent a car, it is best to make a reservation well in advance. Sightseeing taxis and tour buses are also available. Please visit Sado Tourism Association website for details.

EC takes place just a few minutes on foot from Ogi Port. Traveling to the EC venues in Ogi via local island buses takes approximately 1hr 50min from Ryotsu Port, 30 min from Akadomari Port, and 1hr 30 min from Aikawa, which is 1hr 10min from Ryotsu Port. However, island buses are infrequent so be sure to check Sado Island Ferry & Bus Timetable before you make plans. Various special bus services will be running during the 3-day festival.

* Regular bus passes for local bus routes are not valid on the EC Liner Bus and EC Express Bus; EC Bus Day-Pass can be used on these buses.

This tour bus travels through the town of Aikawa, retaining its charm since its goldmine era. (Operating on weekends and holidays only). Take this opportunity to fully enjoy all there is to see in Aikawa.
