[Two-day / Overnight] Takigi Noh and World Heritage Site Candidate ~ Exploring Aikawa

Attend an evocative takigi (outdoor bonfire) noh performance in Aikawa’s Kasuga Shrine, and on the following day enjoy a bus tour of Aikawa. Learn about the town’s history and legacy, walk through its streets from the gold mining days.

[Three-day / Two-night] Noh Theatre: Art Living in Island Life ~ Enjoy, Experience, Explore Theme Arts

This program kicks off with the EC Pre Event “Sado Takigi Noh” performance, and on the second day, participants will tour various noh stages on the island. On the third day, try out the art form yourself on the Daizen Shrine Noh Stage and immerse yourself in the art at the pulse of Sado Island.

[Two-day / Overnight] Experience Onidaiko: Two-day Overnight Tour (Minamikatabe)

Last year’s EC featured Minamikatabe Ontaiko in a hands-on workshop. This year, live and breath ontaiko by experiencing it in Minami Katabe village (northern part of Aikawa region)! Socialize with young locals and enjoy this art form that lives in the daily lives of island residents.

[ Two-day / Overnight] Experience Onidaiko: Two-day Overnight Tour (hamakawachi)

Until now EC introduced Hamagauchi Onidaiko through workshops. This year, live and breath Onidaiko by experiencing it in Hamakawachi village (Maehama region)! Socialize with young locals and enjoy this art form that lives in the daily lives of island residents.

[Two-day / Overnight] Experience Onidaiko: Two-day Overnight Tour (Kasuga)

[Three-day / Two-night] Enjoy Ogi Port Matsuri! Be a Part of the Ogi Okesa Circle

[Two-day / Overnight] Get Your Fill from Ogi Variety Entertainment Hall to Ogi Port Matsuri!

Enjoy unique performances Ogi’s performance hall, known for its vaudevillian and folk entertainers from Sado and beyond. Continue to soak in the entertainment the next day, all the way to Ogi Port Matsuri.

[Two-day / Overnight] Eco Bike Tour of the Town of Ogi ~ Revel in local cuisine in the neighboring Hamochiosaki

Explore the town of Ogi where the main venue of Earth Celebration is housed on an electric bicycle, and on the next day (Aug. 27) enjoy folk performing arts while eating local dishes in the neighboring town of Hamochiosaki!

[Three-day / Two-night] Hang Out with the Locals through Mussanko Sado Matsuri and the Town of Sado Social Club!
